On Saturday the 19th of February, the BMR Health and Well-being team joined forces with énergie Online for a 5-hour spinathon to raise funds for DENS homeless charity. Charities have really struggled over the last 2 years due to the pandemic. BMR has picked DENS as their charity to support in 2022 as the CEO, Wendy Lewington, is a close friend to BMR. What a fantastic day with four instructors giving their time to help, and we ran the event online. We had participants from England, Wales & Ireland, in the gym and at home……
Twenty-five people completed the whole 5 hours with Wendy spinning from the énergie fitness club in Hemel Hempstead.
Anita Doherty from Rugby joined us from her Tandem and did a fantastic fifty-two miles in the rain and wind
Our Spin Queen Doris Henderson (71) completed the entire 5 hours from her conservatory, raising over £500.
The fund raising continues……..
We are not stopping there…. every Monday at 6.30pm, the spinners will get together for a 45-minute zoom session. This session is FREE; we ask that you donate no matter how small if you attend….
